Reid Hughes-Founder&CEO
Caring for children has always been a big part of my life. My grandmother and stepmom both owned daycare centers, so I grew up surrounded by the world of childcare and developed a passion for helping children learn, play, and feel safe.
I have over 15 years of childcare experience, including working in childcare centers, and I’m also a mom to a wonderful three-year-old, which gives me a personal understanding of how important trustworthy care is for families.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business and created Mobile Munchkins to provide safe, engaging childcare at events so parents can relax and enjoy the moment while their children have fun in a supervised environment.

I’m a proud mom of two beautiful girls and have spent 7 years working as a nanny, caring for children and helping create safe, nurturing environments where they can learn, play, and grow.
In addition to my childcare experience, I’ve worked as an Activities Director for the past 10 years, where I discovered my passion for creating fun, engaging experiences for people of all ages. I love bringing creativity and energy into everything I do, and I truly enjoy making sure kids are having fun and staying engaged.
At Mobile Munchkins, I’m excited to help create a playful, welcoming space where children can have a great time while their parents enjoy the event.

Mobile Munchkins is a locally owned and operated small business based in Summerville, SC. We are dedicated to making life easier and more enjoyable for families by bringing trusted, high-quality childcare and kid-focused experiences directly to you. Proudly servicing all of South Carolina, we offer at-home and on-site event childcare that provides engaging activities for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years, creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment wherever we go. As a licensed and insured company, we prioritize your peace of mind by ensuring every team member is thoroughly vetted through background checks and certified in CPR and First Aid.
Founded by Reid after attending a friend’s wedding shortly after the birth of her son, Mobile Munchkins was inspired by a simple but powerful need: the desire to fully enjoy life’s special moments without being separated from your child and to provide guests who may struggle with finding childcare a simple solution. Wanting to be present for the celebration while still having a trusted caregiver nearby sparked the idea for a mobile, reliable childcare solution. Today, Mobile Munchkins is built on that vision, creating an innovative, inclusive experience that allows families to stay connected while children are cared for in a way that is safe, engaging, and enjoyable for all ages.
